So if you haven't heard by now, Brian graduated from the Coast Guard Academy about 3 weeks ago. (Yay!) His first assignment is in Alameda, California as Deck Watch Officer of the National Security Cutter Stratton. He reports in on June 24, but before he does that he's got to move to California. So he's taking a road trip to CA and I'm going with him!
The plan is to go from Lusby to Alameda via Detroit, Chicago, the Badlands, Custer State Park, and Yellowstone. We'll be visiting family, seeing the sights, burning a lot of gas, and generally having an amazing time. Stay tuned for picture updates. (Really, though -- me posting pictures happens about once every 5 years so this may never happen again.)
